Shawn is almost 3!

On Sunday, April 12, Shawn will be officially 3! I can't believe my baby is already 3. He is getting bigger everyday and it is a joy to be around him to watch it happen. Here are some of Shawn's accomplishments:

• Wears underwear! Still perfecting but very few accidents in a week. I probably am more excited about this but he is proud of himself and loves picking out which pair he will wear each day
• Can spell his name out loud. "S-H-W-N" Again, its not perfect but he loves doing it and he is only 3.
• Can sing many songs with no help. Old McDonald is by far his favorite, though you won't hear many farm animals on the farm. His favorite animals at Old McDonald's farm are hippos, snakes, crocodiles and so many more.
• Loves to look at books on his own and have you read to him. We go to the library weekly and he always has 5 or 6 new favorites to check out within seconds. (they almost all have something to do with an animal)
• Is excited to be a big boy and go to preschool in the fall (really wants to go now)
• Shawn always has a happy personality in the morning and loves to dance and act like animals when Mom and Dad are still half asleep.

As you can see, Shawn is a delight to be around, most of the time. He may appear shy for a minute or so but when he opens up he is all smiles, jokes, and songs. His speech is great and very understandable to most.
