Hello friends and family
After being a person who loves to read blogs, I have decided to start one. With our recent move to Wisconsin, I thought it would be a great way to keep in touch with old friends and new friends. The posts will be focused on our day to day life as we start out here in Wisconsin. I want you all to enjoy the blog and see it as light fun reading. I will try my best to post often and include a lot of pictures.
A little backgroung about our family: Micah and Kimberly were married in May 2002. In June of 2004 we move to Illinois. Collin was born in Illinois in December of 2004. Shawn was born in Illinois in April of 2006. We then decided to move back to Minnesota. Micah started a job in Minnesota in July 2007. The kids and Kim finally moved to Minnesota in April of 2008. Our house in Illinois eventually sold in July of 2008.
Just as we thought things were working out and we were settled back in Minnesota, God had a different plan for us...Micah was laid off due to the economy. It was hard to understand why things happen but we trusted in Him that he would provide answers. Two months after being laid off, Micah got a new job in Wisconsin. Micah was excited for the new job but it was hard for all of us to have to move away from Minnesota. We knew it was the right thing to do so off we went to Wisconsin.
We have now been in Wisconsin for two weeks. Micah is really enjoying his new job and the people he works with. I am still staying home with two busy boys. Collin is in preschool two afternoons a week and loving his new school. Shawn is about to turn three and testing limits as he loves life. These past two weeks have been hectic as we unpack the house, learn the new area, look for a new church and continue our life here in Wisconsin.
It was very hard to leave Minnesota but we have been reaffirmed that God is in control and he knows what is best for us, not us. At the computer sits this verse and I look at it daily to remind myself of His mightiness.
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalms 118:24
