These days are flying by! I can't believe Drew is just about 3 weeks old. We are still trying to get into a good routine at our house having 3 boys with wants and needs. I am learning to let things go for later. Here are some pictures to enjoy from our Thanksgiving Day Weekend. I will put up some more later in the week with other visitors we were lucky to have!

One Week!
It is crazy to think it has only been a week since Drew has entered this world. He is doing great! Drew is a lot quieter than Collin and Shawn were at this point. I keep thinking he just hasn't "woken up" yet but maybe he is just a more relaxed baby.
Collin and Shawn are excellent helpers and enjoy touching Drew. Shawn loves the feel of his soft head and hair. Shawn loves to cover him when he is in the swing or bouncy. This kid will never be cold! Collin let Drew play with his trucks last night. Both Micah and I are tired but that is to be expected. I have also come down with a cold so we are hoping Drew does not pick it up from me.

Drew Preston Langseth
Born on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 7:03 PM
7 lbs. 14 oz. 20 in.
Being induced was quite the experience. We were scheduled to go in Thursday morning but too many other moms were having babies so we didn't go to the hospital till Noon. It was a long morning waiting to be able to go in but nice for Micah and I to have some time alone.
The induction went rather smoothly. I got some wonderful pain meds at 6ish and he was delivered at 7. It is amazing how things can move so fast after going slow. Drew entered this world like "rocket lightning". Because of his fast entrance we have decided he is still a bit confused and still very quiet. I am sure he will come around and start crying more any second.
We are so happy and blessed with Drew. Both Collin and Shawn are loving to touch him and look at him. Shawn is not much for holding but Collin enjoys helping out by holding him. Shawn just wants to touch his hair. Drew looks a little like both Collin and Shawn. Shawn had the dark hair at birth just like Drew has. Collin and Shawn especially loved visiting us in the hospital and sitting on my fun bed and pushing the controls to watch TV.
Both Micah and I are tired but nothing more than expected. My mother is here for the week to help out with all the day to day things around the house. It is really nice having her here to be another helping hand with all three boys!

Almost Time!
We are getting closer and closer to the arrival of our little guy! I can't believe the time has already come. I find myself thinking about what we need to have ready, what we will need to do, the lack of sleep coming our way and the milestones we get to see our child reach.
In order to help better prepare myself for his arrival, I brought out the Christmas stuff yesterday. (OK, Micah actually brought all the boxes upstairs and I took all the stuff out) I know it is early but I love Christmas decorations and I wanted to enjoy putting them up rather than being half asleep while doing it in a few weeks. I did in the morning while both boys were at school. Shawn came home before lunch and was so excited! He spent over 30 minutes touching and playing with anything he could with a big smile on his face the whole time. The memory of him loving it so much was priceless. He eventually did eat lunch but not much, he was to excited. He even wanted to unpack all the ornaments for the Christmas Tree and get them ready. I told him we had to wait till we got a tree AFTER Thanksgiving. We have, however, pulled out the Christmas music and listened to it all day. I love Christmas music.
Here is a picture of Shawn setting up the Fisher Price Nativity....he had many different arrangements through out the afternoon. If you don't have one of these sets, get one!
This morning (the morning after Christmas decorations went up) Shawn said today was Christmas and I can't convince him otherwise. He is my Christmas spirited child through and through!

Christmas Tour of Homes
Today I am on Tour with The Nesters. ( http://www.thenester.com/ ) It is a blog carnival where we are sharing holiday pictures of our home. Here are a few from our home.

Our tree! It is a real one we picked out of a field and cut down ourselves. We started this tradition last year and Micah and the boys love doing it! This year, Collin even helped saw. Notice the advent calendar to the left of the tree...the boys love putting up the day and pushing the star to hear a song. This was given to us as a gift on Collin's first Christmas.

Our tree skirt. Probably my favorite Christmas decoration I own. It was given to use from a good family friend who use to make and sell them for years.

Our nativity scene. This was hand carved by Micah's grandfather. It is durable so the kids are able to touch it and rearrange. I am sure this is Micah's favorite Christmas decoration.
Enjoy the carnival and check out other creative ideas people have at their homes! Happy Holidays.

Happy Birthday Collin
I can't believe Collin is already 5! It seems like yesturday he was a baby and we were living in our apartment in Illinois. How things have changed.
Collin had a party last week at the fire station. He loved it! We had all the boys from his class and our cousin Joven came down from Minnesota for the party. It will be a party he won't forget.
They set up the party table right in the mioddle of the station...firetrucks all around
Collin with coat on. (my camera was not taking good pictures this day)
