November in Kentucky

We have been living in Kentucky for 6 months now!!!! I can't believe it has been that long some days and others it feels like we have been here for longer than that. Seeing as this is our first winter season away from the upper midwest, we are seeing a ton of differences.

  • Hardly anyone has the Old Navy Halloween costumes because it is to warm to wear a heavy costume.

  • It was still light out around 7 pm while we were trick or treating.

  • It is just about 8 am here on Nov 3 and it is still dark out!

  • We haven't even heard talk of any possible snow flakes headed our way!

  • Some kids are still wearing shorts to school.

  • Basketball season is getting started (college basketball is huge around here)

We are embracing the differences of our new area and loving the fact we don't have any snow in sight. I bought the boys winter coats a couple weeks ago and Costco and I am starting to think that they will hardly wear them this winter.

All three boys had a great Halloween. We are in a neighborhood that attracts trick or treating. The streets/sidewalks were packed on Halloween night. Most people sit on their driveway since the flow of trick or treaters is never ending. I think Collin was most excited to hand candy out once we got home. Shawn kept counting the bags of m and m's as we were trick or treating. Drew has discovered that Kit Kat's are his favorite food.
Here are some Halloween pictures as promised. I WILL be posting next week as we are getting closer to someones first birthday!!!
